At the end of 2017 our school began to implement MultiLit as an intervention program across the primary year levels. Even though I was not going to necessarily going to be running the MultiLit intervention I completed the MultiLit online training to gain an understanding of what the students would be doing during their sessions so I could support them with the same skills within the classroom.
This was a whole school training that concentrated on who to support students within your classroom that have experienced grief, loss and trauma. This was a valuable training as at the time I had a student in my class who had experienced loss and this training gave me some insight into how I could support him in the class. This training connects with multiple standards.

In 2017 I was one of two teachers chosen to attend a 2-day training on iPad Success in your classroom. The school sent us to the training to gain an insight into how iPad's could be used effectively within our primary classrooms (as we have a BYOD program). When we returned to school myself and the other staff member that attended conducted a training with the primary cohort staff to share our knowledge and what we learnt. This training connects with the following Australian Professional Standards for Teacher, 1.2, 1.5, 2.6, 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, 4.4, 4.5, 6.2 and 6.3.
This 2-Day training was a part of the early years teacher development program. We were lucky enough to have this 2-day training run at our school. It had a focus on the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and the transition from graduate to proficient.
